AI Days 2026 in the Liberec Region

From 2 to 15 November 2026, the Liberec Region will once again take part in AI Days, the largest artificial intelligence festival in the Czech Republic. The fifth edition, subtitled ‘Tested on People’, is being held under the patronage of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and will feature 17 events in Liberec focusing on the practical applications of AI, new technologies and digital innovation. The national organiser of the festival is the Czech National AI Platform (CNAIP), whose founding members include the organisation prg.ai. Regional coordination is once again being handled by our Liberec Region Regional Development Agency, which is involved in preparing the programme alongside the Technical University of Liberec and the iQLANDIA science centre.

Robic on the road: from Straka’s Academy to Forbes Next Big Thing

The end of summer and September were a time of travel and showcasing modern technologies in practice for Robica – an AI-based social robot designed for use in social services. Together with the team from the Liberec Region Regional Development Agency and EDIH Northeast Bohemia, we had the opportunity to present Robica and our services at three major events – at Strakova Academy, at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and at the prestigious Forbes Next Big Thing technology festival in Brno.

AI Act: New rules for labelling AI content

On 2 August 2026, the transparency rules set out in Article 50 of the European AI Act came into force. The new legislation introduces obligations regarding the labelling of deepfakes and certain other types of content created or modified using artificial intelligence. To help businesses better navigate the new requirements, EDIH Northeast Bohemia offers a free AI Act Helpdesk with the option of consulting experts. They will help you answer specific questions regarding the impact of European regulation on the use of artificial intelligence in businesses and recommend appropriate procedures for implementing the requirements of the AI Act in practice.

A double dose of innovation: EDIH NEB at the SOLK Assembly and AI training for companies

On Thursday, February 12, we held two events in one day: a presentation of ARR and EDIH NEB services at the Assembly of the Association of Municipalities of the Liberec Region (attended by the leadership of the Liberec Region and more than 40 mayors) and a training session entitled “AI for Businesses – Your Competitive Advantage Vol. 2,” which was attended by over 30 representatives of self-employed individuals and companies.
