A project focused on introducing smart technologies into elderly care is moving into its next phase. Following successful pilot testing of smart pads for monitoring the positioning and vital functions of clients in social services, a professional internship took place at the Senecura SeniorCentrum Liberec facility, which deepened interdisciplinary cooperation between technology companies, care providers and public administration.
Based on the positive results to date, the Liberec Region has purchased a total of 20 smart pads as part of the Smarter Liberec Region project, which have been put into real operation in retirement homes. New technologies contribute to improving the quality of care, streamlining the work of staff and increasing the safety of clients. This development is the result of close cooperation between experts in the fields of healthcare, social services and digital innovation, which our EDIH Northeast at the Regional Development Agency continues to actively support.
Details of the project can be found in the article: https://www.edih-northeast.cz/en/2025/07/04/smart-pads-cooperation-continues/
