The Třebechovice pod Orebem nursery school has successfully integrated 3D printing into its teaching through specialist training.

Client
Třebechovice pod Orebem Kindergarten – a modern preschool educational institution focused on developing creativity, curiosity, and children’s natural relationship to discovering the world.
Challenge
The kindergarten was looking for a way to meaningfully and safely integrate modern technology into preschool education. Specifically, it wanted to verify whether 3D printing could be used as a practical and didactic tool in a kindergarten environment, where great emphasis is placed on safety and ease of use.
Solution
In August 2025, practical training funded by EDIH Northeast Bohemia took place, focusing on the use of 3D printing in teaching. Under the guidance of experienced lecturers, the teaching team tried out working with a 3D printer – from preparing the model to the finished print. The training also included detailed instructions on the safe operation of the technology in an environment with young children. 3D printers from Průša Research were used.
Result
The teachers gained practical skills for working independently with 3D printing and a clear idea of how to incorporate this technology into educational activities. 3D printing proved to be an understandable, safe, and useful tool for preschool education.
